We are Alessia Pegorin and Antonia Insunza, designers of light and, simultaneously, agents for the preservation of darkness.
A ceremony, symbolic of respect and attention to life’s celebrations, is representative of the design process that we practice in our approach to space, light concept and luminary design. A process in which the how is ultimately just as important as the what.
During the exhibition 'das neugierige Licht', As – A Ceremony displays 3 lighting objects. Part of a series of limited-edition pendant lamps, two 'message in a driver' (metal and acrylic version) will be presented, together with a unique piece of a free-standing luminaire, Purple.
All three lighting objects follow their Aesthetics of respect, by exploring and exposing technical and electrical components present in artificial light as main elements of design.
